Apple iPhone 13 review: iPhone for everyone March 31, 2022by Martin 6 The Apple iPhone 13 series has four devices to choose from: the smaller iPhone 13 mini; this is the model under review, the iPhone 13; more advanced to iPhone 13 Pro ; and the team's big-screen device, the iPhone 13 Pro Max . So is this "standard" iPhone the best for most people? Well, the gap between the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro for 2021 is smaller than the previous iteration. While it doesn't have the Pro's faster refresh rate screen, the iPhone 13 otherwise brings plenty of features you'll want and, more importantly, actually use. Is the iPhone 13 still worth buying for six months? The Apple iPhone 13 was released in September 2021, but it's still a great phone and a great option, even though it wasn't even weeks old when we originally wrote this review. It faces more competition like the Samsung Galaxy S22 series.
The iPhone 13 holds its own and continues to deliver in every way. Its C Level Executive List camera capabilities are great, and while it doesn't offer a telephoto lens like the iPhone 13 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S22 models, it's something we'd be happy to live without. The build quality of the iPhone 13 remains strong and its battery life is still significantly longer than the iPhone 13 mini, making it the better choice between the two latest flagship models. The only doubt we have in buying the iPhone 13 now is that its successor is scheduled for September 2022, which means you should wait if you can. Beautiful design Finishes: Midnight, Pink, Blue, Starlight, Product (Red) Size: 146.7 x 71.5 x 7.65mm / Weight: 174g IP68 water resistant rating The front of the ceramic shield The Apple iPhone 13 has a very similar design to the iPhone 12 , although Eagle-Eye notices a few minor changes that differentiate the two.
The flat-edge design remains — and it's still beautiful — like back in 2012's iPhone 5 (remember that?), while aluminum is retained as the material of choice for the frame (the antenna bars that sit inside, (made from) recycled plastic), with a matte finish. It's not as premium as the Pro models, but it's still a nice finish. On the back you'll find a glass finish, shown here in a beautiful blue color. Also here you will find one of the defining differences between the 2021 and 2020 models: the camera body is larger in the upper left corner, and the camera lenses, which are also larger, are positioned diagonally rather than vertically. The glass seems to be more scratch resistant than our old iPhone 12 mini . The second design change in the iPhone 13 is on the front: the strip above the display is smaller than its predecessor. It's not a huge drop though, just about a 20% drop, so we'll take it.
